I just found out today that Spencer Daniels has been cast in J.J. Abrams' redux STAR TREK movie as Captain Kirk's brother, Sam.
I was fortunate enough to cast Spencer as the lead in my short film WITCHWISE a few years back and he proved to be a great choice. Awesome kid with a lot of potential and I'm very happy for him.

El Duque is 60 years old and will start less than 10 games. If you get more than that out of Pedro, you're playing with the house's money.
I'm ecstatic that the Yankees kept Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy (can't miss phenoms) and won't have to commit a Barry Zito-sized contract to anybody.
Mets made a good trade... but don't credit Minaya for the Twins' GM's idiocy. That moron overplayed his hand and could have had Hughes.
Omar did little but save his overrated job... for now, anyway.
